Building (Win32)
-
Ensure that boost1_30_0 is installed, see Boost 1.30.0 installation for further details.
-
Enter your Tools->Options->Projects->Vc Directories Tab and add the directory where you have installed and built boost as an include directory.
-
'Check out' the FakedReality source tree, or for an update if you already have it. Instructions on checking out the source code is on our main project website located at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fakedreality
-
Load Projects\Win32\Vc7\Vc7.sln into Visual Studio .NET
-
Build the projects, one at a time. The solution build feature does not work, due to a bug in the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002 build environment. The recommended build sequence is: Core, Application, Iris, IrisD3d9, IrisMax, Editor. You can build debug/release versions as you wish. Alternatively, use the build scripts provided in the scripts subdirectory of the main FakedReality source tree. This also generates the reference documentation.
